Adidas Shoe

Is adidas disconnunting this shoe? They have it steeply discounted and all of their sizes are sold out. I was lucky enough to get a pair in my size, plus I was able to double coupon.
These are my favorite shoe and I'm sad if they are disconnunting this style. I don't like the Grand Court 2.0, if it works, don't fix it!!

WWE Smackdown - My Overview

Earlier these past few weeks, I mentioned going to WWE Smackdown in Lincoln, NE, with my good friend, Jeff. We went on April 14th, 2023, and that’s when the show was. The show started at 6:45 pm CST. This was our first time going to a live event of this sort. Let me tell you; it was spectacular!

I left work around 2:00 pm that day to head home and prepare for the show. When I arrived home, I showered, fed, watered the cat, and changed my clothes into something nicer. I left my house around 3:30 pm to head to Iowa to pick up my friend, Jeff. I live in Omaha, NE, and he lives in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It was about a 20 min drive. Once I picked him up from where he lives, I drove us to Lincoln. On the way there, we stopped at McDonald’s to grab a bite to eat and drink before the show.

When we got to Lincoln, I had a horrible time finding parking for this event. I was following a line of cars, and it was leading us nowhere. So, being the “daredevil” I am, I broke off from the group and luckily found a garage with first-floor parking for only $5.00. Excellent deal! Once we parked, we only walked about three blocks until we arrived at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Once we found the entrance line, it was a smooth experience. We had our tickets saved to our phones, so all we had to do was have the employee scan the ticket. There was a massive line for shirts and merchandise; we waited until the end to pick up a shirt. Finding our seats was accessible; plenty of signage indicated where to go. I thought it would be worse! But overall, that was easy.

I got myself a beer for $14.00, which is ridiculous, but it was fun and worth it. At 6:45, they started the show. They played one match before Smackdown went live, which was cool to see a match before it was live. Once the show began at 7 pm, all the lights went off, and there were loud fireworks, sparks, and works. It was awesome, loud, and smokey, and everyone was having a great time.

During the event, time went by so quickly. I hardly took any photos because my friend and I were in the moment and enjoying the moment. Whenever there was a commercial break, the stadium would go dark, and you could see the ads being played on a giant monitor. It was insane seeing what they did during the breaks. They cleaned, changed the mat, and set up for the next event; it was an excellent experience. I’m glad I could share it with my best friend, Jeff. One thing I almost forgot! You don’t hear the announcers at all! It’s super quiet in the stadium until the people “get into it,” and we start cheering and booing. But it was weird not hearing the announcers as you do on TV!

I’m glad I got to share this memory with my best friend; we got to see a WWE event live, which we’ve always wanted to do. We bought some shirts; I purchased a mask. We want to attend another event when they are in town again. We wouldn’t mind seeing Smackdown or RAW, but I would like to see a RAW show!

Smackdown

Smackdown was great! I took very little photos and lived in the moment. These two pictures after taken after air. I thought it was cool! Hope to go again sometime.

Evening Thoughts 💭

This is the week of Smackdown in Lincoln. I finished all my college intermitted algebra and Communication In A Digital World classes. The show is Friday, but right now it's Monday. I guess the only thing I have this week left to do is an assessment in my algebra class, that opens Wednesday. That shouldn't be too hard but you never know with algebra, haha.
Work has been really crappy lately. It seems like all they care about is their bonus, while we the tiny people, don't get anything for the hard work we do. But I guess free college makes up for it. We can always find something to complain about, but on the other hand, it could be worse. It can always be worse. I just don't like how they use us for their bogus metric system when a customer is supposed to do it not employees. But I guess greed is power.
I'm probably just going to watch a few movies, maybe play some Counter-Strike Global Offensive, it's a PC game on the Steam platform. It's a really fun game with some friends, or even by yourself.
But that's enough rambling for today. No one probably even reads this, im probably talking to myself but that's okay!

No idea

I have no idea what to post. I worked for Easter, it was busy at work. I did all my college algebra after work, so that's done. I'll do my next class tomorrow, or maybe Tuesday. That class is Communication in a Digital World. Either way, it will be done. Overall, just a boring day.

Hoppy Easter! 🐇 ✝️

Heading To WWE. Smackdown Next Friday (4/15)

My good friend, Jeffrey and I will be heading to Lincoln, Nebraska, for Smackdown! We are excited, as it is our first time seeing it live. We plan for next time to get ringside tickets, but on short notice we got pretty decent seats.
We just hope to have a great time and have a few drinks, of course. More pictures to come, maybe. Maybe I'll live in the moment, or maybe I'll capture some pictures. Probably both! 😊

Evening Thoughts 💭

I'm not sure what to blog about. I mainly got the URL (cjbaker.me) for myself. Making the URL into a blog, and posting about random things was far from what I wanted, but here I am. I want to achieve more in life, but, my stupidity has delayed that by a lot. And I mean a lot, years.

I am grateful going to college and furthering my academic career. My dream is to work in Cyber Security, which is what I am in school for. I have two more years to go, and I'm one down at the moment.

I just hope in the end it is worth it. I want to achieve what others in my family has achieved. They put in the work like everyone else, so I have to also.

My Acceptance To Nationals Honors Society

I was amazed to be awarded this outstanding achievement!
